Myofascial Release
Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and surrounds all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures. The fascia related to muscle is called myofascia. Myofascial release is soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and improve alignment through massage techniques uniquely suited to soften the fascia and release the cross-links that can exist between the fascia, muscles, and bones.
Generally, there are two styles of myofascial work: direct (deeper pressure, focusing on deeper and more specific areas) and indirect (lighter pressure). Direct myofascial release is my focus.
